Dragonfly
I got this over at Deb’s blog, Red Shoe Ramblings (where she also has some awesome daily art “things”) and decided to play along. Because, see, it’s a list…. And I’m a listy girl. And since I’ve vowed Not to make a list for our upcoming trip, I have to take out my listy tendencies somewhere else.

Favorite Season: Late Fall & Winter – they’re sort of the same thing here
Favorite Color: Emerald Green
Favorite Time: 12:00am – 2:00am, perfectly quiet MY time
Favorite Food: I love all sorts of food but when I hear “comfort food”, I think sour cream. Tacos, baked potatoes, anything that has sour cream on it.

Favorite Drink: ha ha ha... COFFEE!
Favorite Ice Cream: the now defunct One Sweet Whirled (Ben & Jerry’s). Good dog, that stuff was scrumptious.
Favorite Place: anywhere that includes my entire family. If that’s not possible, then Scotland (yes, I know all you folks who KNOW me expected that answer to be first!).
Favorite Sport: 3-day Equestrian Eventing, Soccer, LIVE Baseball, Softball
Favorite Actor: Matthew McConaughey (there are many others but I’ll watch anything he’s in)
Favorite Actress: There are so many, old and new. Katharine Hepburn, Maureen O’Hara, Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, Kate Beckinsale, Diane Lane. Goodness, I could go on and on.

9 Currents
Current Feeling: In turns, Bored and Annoyed
Current Drink: was Iced Vanilla Chai-Spice Tea, but I just got out a Mocha Frappuccino.
Current Time: 5:23 p.m. when I started this, 8:44 p.m. now.
Current Show on TV: None, It’s on the XM Satellite Radio channel – James Blunt was playing, now it’s Train.
Current Mobile used: Sprint (I’ve never used a different one)
Current Windows Open: This computer: Outlook, Faster Than Kudzu, and Red Shoe Ramblings. The laptop (work): Outlook, an email, 3 Excel windows, 1 Word doc, 1 Internet Explorer (Intranet), and a File Folder I’m “exploring”.
Current Underwear: *hooting with laughter* That question caught me completely off guard! Ahem… I’m enjoying the commando look today.
Current Clothes: Pair of black work-out shorts and a purple tank top. Barefoot.
Current Thought: Will this work day NEVER end? (edit – just did about an hour ago)

8 Firsts
First Nickname: Spaz. It was well-earned.
First Kiss: A friend of mine’s much older step-brother, who then told his slightly younger brother that I couldn’t kiss. The younger brother then dated me and we kissed A LOT.
First Crush: *laughing hysterically* From 5th grade until oh, 8th grade, I practically stalked this poor guy who lived in our neighborhood. I crushed SO badly on him. He never did ask me out (probably b/c my stalker tendencies scared the bejeezus out of him).
First Best Friend: Wahoo – twenty-eight years now, girl!
First Vehicle I Drove: A p.o.s. cream-colored Chevy Chevette that I drove like a race car. I’ve always had a lead foot.
First Job: Hmm. Retail job in a Lerner’s store at the local mall. I hated it.
First Date: This is going to sound strange, but I just don’t remember. I never really had “dates”; at least not in the normal sense. We all just hung out together. I’m sure there must have been ONE, at least, but… Okay. One of the guys I went out with in high school took me dancing once, just us. There. A date. He was very tall. I remember loving the way it felt to look up at him (I like them all tall, though).
First Pet: Geez. We had so many pets that were mine, theirs, or ours. The first one I bought with my own money was a Rottweiler puppy, named Diablo.

7 Lasts

Last Drink: Still working on that Mocha Frapp
Last Kiss: Hmmm, Doodlebug, about two minutes ago (with an “I love you” because he wants something)

Last Meal: dinner, just now @ 8:30 p.m.
Last Web Site Visited: I Google’d Kentucky for a map.
Last Film Watched: At the theater - Pirates of the Caribbean, last Friday. On DVD - Aeon Flux on Sunday night.
Last Phone Call: Mr. Clean to tell him I found our old AAA Trip Tix for Kentucky but now I can’t find the replacement foam for my headphones.
Last TV Show Watched: An Italian cooking show (the name escapes me just now) on Food Network.

5 Things
Things You Can Hear Right Now: music on the TV, fan running in the corner of my office (because it is HOT in here even with the A/C on), the tapping of the keyboard, and Doodlebug chattering to himself as he goes out the back door.
Things On Your Bed: a sheet set (slate blue), down comforter in a micro-suede duvet (burgundy) and three pillows.
Things You Ate Today: tuna-fish salad on wheat, two oatmeal/almond/cranberry cookies I made last night, then scrambled eggs for dinner (breakfast for dinner, yay!!).
Things You Wouldn’t Want to Live Without: my family, music, books, pen & lots of paper, a connection to the outside world, should I choose to use it, and some form of transportation.
Things You Do When You Are Bored:Whine – horrible, but true. Read. Watch TV. Take a nap.

4 Places You Have Been Today
The kitchen, bathroom, living room, and Doodlebug’s room.

3 Things On Your Desk Right Now
Seriously more than 3 things. My desk is a WRECK at the moment. Ahh, picking something… my cell phone, a stack of books, and a notepad where I’m drafting my Blogging 4 Books entry.

2 Things You Have Said Today
“Okay, Master Pissy Pants”
“Please don’t make me go to the crazy place.”

1 Place You Want To Visit
I’m going to skip the obvious and say a fantasy world of my choosing. I couldn’t dream of picking one off the top of my head. That’d be like making 3 wishes without any consideration first.

    "oatmeal/almond/cranberry cookies"...YUM!!

I like the change you made to the 2 things line.

They're awesome (the cookies!). I'm playing with a new recipe, trying to add some healthier items and subtracting a bit of sugar (for more cinnamon). Not quite there yet but very, very close. I'm hoping to make some in bar form for our trip.

    2 Things - thanks!
